The activities on the cards progress in this order: Card 1 - Match the examples of the type of nouns. Card 2 - Match the examples of the type of nouns. Card 3 - Complete the collective noun phrases. Card 4 - Fill in the correct pronouns to replace the underlined words. Card 5 - Match the present tense verb to the past tense verb. Card 6 - Change each present tense verb to past tense. Card 7 - Fill in the positive, comparative and superlative form of the adjective to complete each sentence. Card 8 - Fill in the positive, comparative and superlative form of the adjective to complete each sentence. Card 9 - Choose the word in each sentence that is an adverb. Card 10 - Select the verb to complete each sentence. Card 11 - Complete the sentences correctly. Card 12 - Match the examples to the definitions. The activities on these cards give students practice in all the basic parts of speech. Children will become better readers and more capable of understanding proper grammar. They will be able to select types of nouns, use pronouns, understand tenses, and be able to work with adjectives and adverbs. Practice allows students to see academic success.
